On December 1st 2014 newly elected Sheriff Neal Rohlfing immediately began working to make his vision of a safer community become a reality by initiating proactive policing. He has made many positive changes since 2014. A few things he has incorporated are: training the citizens of Monroe County for Active Shooter situations, creating an inner county drug taskforce named ACE, and joining the Joint Terrorism Task Force to make sure we have the most up to date information about possible terrorist threats in our area.
