Inmates at the Monroe County Jail are allowed the following property:

• (3) White T-shirts
• (3) Pairs of white socks
• (3) White Underwear
• (1) Pair White Long Johns, top and bottoms

All items are available to purchase through commissary, or can be brought into the Sheriff’s Department at 225 East 3rd Street, Waterloo IL 62298

All clothing must be new and in original manufactures packaging. If clothing is brought in opened, or appears to be tampered with, it will be rejected by staff.

All personal property will be returned to the owner at release from our facility. In the event of transfers to DOC or BOP, inmates may approve individuals to receive property on their behalf. Approved parties must come to the jail to claim personal effects. All inmate property left unclaimed after release will be destroyed after 60 days.
