The Monroe County Sheriff's Department Youth Academy provides a unique opportunity for individuals aged 11 to 15 to engage with Sheriff's Deputies and foster strong community bonds. Our program is dedicated to empowering youth by equipping them with the tools and support needed to overcome challenges and achieve their aspirations. Through a series of interactive activities, we aim to familiarize participants with the daily responsibilities of Sheriff's Deputies, with the goal of inspiring them to consider a future career in law enforcement. By cultivating positive relationships and offering valuable insights into policing, we strive to guide our youth towards a promising and fulfilling future.

The youth academy is a dynamic 5-day program filled with fun and learning. Each day begins with physical training to promote discipline, teamwork, and physical fitness, followed by interactive learning sessions covering various aspects of law enforcement, leadership, and community engagement. To ensure the cadets' comfort and convenience, lunch is provided daily, along with official academy shirts and shorts. This immersive experience aims not only to educate and inspire our youth but also to create lasting memories and a sense of camaraderie among the participants.
